Visit here with curiosity and yahguudang | yagudang | respect for each other and all living things. Only take what you need, and give thanks. Welcome to the edge of the world.

    START EXPLORING

Haida Gwaii is an ideal destination to experience the rugged and remote wilderness that Northern British Columbia is known for. Accommodation varies from rustic off-grid beach cabins to modern and natural lodges, and extraordinary camping in old growth forests or on the beach. All accommodation is small scale and intimate. Each time you book, you are talking with an owner who cares passionately about the quality of your experience.

    STAY GROUNDED

There are no malls, fast food franchises, or large hotels on Haida Gwaii. Cell service is often spotty outside each community. Here we live slowly, at a pace that is rich with unique experiences. The winter season is full of concerts, artisan fairs, coffee houses, and events across the island. Locals reconnect and plan for high season visitors in the summer, but love to see new faces are year long.

      Map of

Haida Gwaii

One way to think of Haida Gwaii is as a village of 4,500 hardy, unique characters who live in seven towns spread across the Islands. The ocean and the forest are our front and backyards, the ferries are our connection to the mainland, and our local businesses are where we meet and support our friends. Come and enjoy this archipelago with us.

A map of Haida Gwaii, a beautiful group of islands off the northern coast of British Columbia, shows the unique features of the area. It details the lush landscapes, active communities, and important cultural sites that make this region special. This map encourages both visitors and locals to explore the rich history and natural beauty of the islands. It serves as a guide and a way to appreciate the deep link between the land and its people, showcasing the lively spirit of this distinct part of Canada.
