Visitors to Haida Gwaii must add a stop at the Port Clements Museum to their travel itinerary. The museum is run by the Port Clements Historical Society, made up entirely of local volunteers who have a passion for preserving and sharing Port Clements unique history.
The museum features both outdoor and indoor displays, including its famous collection of machinery that helped to shape the town and power the industries that put Port Clements on the map. In fact, visitors can take in more than 2,000 artifacts that have played a significant role in shaping Port Clements past. Guests are invited to take an interpretive tour or browse the displays on their own.
The Port Clements Museum is open daily from June until September each year and on weekends throughout the rest of the year.
